A Quick Catching Up? Part 1
Once again its been awhile since my last post. So much has been going on that I can barely find time for much of anything anymore. Time is starting to fly and next thing I know the end of the year will be here. Anyways, here is a breakdown of whats been happening.
We bought a house! Well not just yet. Its sitting in escrow right now and due to close on the 22nd of this month. Things can still go wrong so I'm choosing to stick to that ole saying, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch". That leads to me not even packing yet. Hopefully everything will turn out good.
With buying the house it has definitely left us tapped out in the money department. When you add in the down payment, escrow costs, appraisal, and house inspection it comes out to no more money left in savings. That's not even adding in the moving costs yet that will be forked out by the end of the week. We have already come to the conclusion that the holidays will be tight this year.
Last weekend we picked up my stepdaughters only to discover when we entered Wal-mart that they were infested with lice. Yes again! Its been ongoing since May. I would like to add that the kids were handed over to us knowing there was a lice problem but neglecting to inform us. Yeah so that really says a lot about someone and their character.
On a better note we attended Kayla's IEP and left with some good news. She no longer has a learning disability. We are proud of her and her accomplishment.
The bad news is there was a lot of wrong information provided about Kayla and her family. I don't understand why people have to lie. If not for Karl and I attending this false info would have continued to stay on Kayla's record. I will not go into details but simply say, "SHAME ON YOU!".
Abby has been growing so much. When we took her in for her shots and 8wk check up we found out she is up to 11 pounds and 24 inches. She whimpered a bit with her shots. Aunt Jessi was the bad guy. Once I picked up Abby she stopped and all was fine.
She is a very happy baby and loves talking to us. We still are unable to get her to sleep in her crib. She wants to be next to mommy and daddy at night. For the time being that's alright with me.
Abby takes the bottle now with no fighting as long as it has my milk. She will fight you on the formula. Overall when mommy is home its all about the breast. I plan to continue breast feeding till she is at least a year old.
Speaking of Miss Abby, she is awake now and wanting to eat. I shall title this part 1 and pick up part 2 tonight.

I was happy to be the bad guy. Abby is such a good baby even when she is here.
