June Updates
Well its almost here. August 13th is the big day. Wow! Less then 8 wks away. I will add that judging by my past history and the rate I'm going, it could be sooner then that. My Mother is very encouraging. She seems to think that I will be able to hold out till then as long as I continue resting, eliminating stress and taking care of myself. It is definitely difficult for me trying to be positive and hold the same attitude as her when i see and hear the concerns of others who know what i have been through. Its a waiting game that I'm trying not to play.
The baby shower seems to be getting pushed back further. We are shooting for the weekend after the 4th. If it doesn't happen its cool. I have been fortunate and blessed to have everything that i need at this point. Well there is one thing missing. She will be with us soon enough.
Kayleigh's birthday is coming up on the 15th . It falls on a Wednesday which is Karl's normal day off. We keep going back n forth on what to do. We have our annual passports to Disneyland so we might go there. Since we have the passport, Kayleigh will get a money card for the amount of what a ticket is. That would be nice to give her a bunch of money to spend at the park. Our other option is Sea World. I guess time will tell.
It will be interesting to see how this weekend/Fathers Day plays out. As it stood last week Karl's girls still had lice. Its been over a month and the problem still has not been taken care of. What started out as Amber having lice has spread not only to the other girls but to the mother as well. Its becoming very frustrating when your told that they no longer have it only to find out when they get to your house that its still a problem. We had to send them back home a few times already in which my household and truck was placed in a position of needing to be sprayed and cleaned down.
I think the worst of it was when last weekend the girl's mother told Karl that he needed to start caring more about his children then us (Kier, Kayleigh, me and our unborn child)when he called to say they still had it and was bringing them back home.
The reality of it is she needs to stop using the kids as an excuse to sling low selfish blows. Its not about caring more for one or the other more. Its Karl making the decision to be a responsible parent and adult. He knows that his children are infested with lice and he is choosing not to infest our household and others. He knows that my kids are constantly around other people on a daily basis. It is not right for her to expect us to take the girls into our house and allow me and me girls to become infested. It is not right that Karl and I would have to treat myself, my girls and my house every week all because she is not taking care of the problem in her house. She chooses to take her children and herself out in public and around other people knowing they all have lice and does not seem to care who catches it from them in the process. That is being irresponsible!
I will add this in closing. I personally had to deal with lice a few times. My oldest had it three different times during her years in elementary school. However the second I found out she was treated within that hour. That same day I sprayed down the house and car, washed all bedding and clothing that came in contact with her . I combed through her hair with the lice comb every single day for 2 weeks. She got the second treatment on time even though i was almost certain all nits and lice were gone. I even treated myself just to be safe and had my husband at the time run the lice comb through my hair daily. I even contacted everyone that my daughter came into contact with going a week back. I was on top of it!
I just hope at some point she will take responsibility and get the job done and that she won't shave all their heads like she did the last time her household got infested.

When Steph kept getting it, it was becasue they aunt she spent the night with wasn't treating the bedding. It was os heartbreaking to cut off here curls. We used Olive Oil in the end it worked perfectly. You need to be careful with the chemicals you come into contact with being pregnant.

Chemicals are the one thing that Karl worries about 2. He has become very protective of me and the baby.
