My new home

I LOVE IT!!!!

Its much bigger then what i was living in. More room and space for all. Every room catches the light perfectly. Waking up and opening the blinds is something i look forward to every morning. My girls have adjusted almost instantly. The enjoy having their own rooms and have done a great job in keeping the beds made and their rooms clean. They come home from school and do there chores and homework without being asked. It appears that this house has been a blessing for us. My family is more refreshed and revived. We all partake in keeping up the house.

Verizon finally came yesterday. YAY! I now have my Internet, phone and TV. I would have had it last week when we moved in but the messed up my order somehow and it got set back. Its one less worry now. Now my next goal is getting the oven fixed. The house came with counter top burners and a separate built in oven. Everything has been burning in the oven half way through the cooking process. This became a bit annoying because I know how to cook and i don't burn. Karl bought a thermometer and come to find out the oven is running a little over a hundred degree's more then it should. At some point today someone should be coming to look at that.

Sunday was my birthday. It was probably the worst i have had to date. With the moving and getting the other house cleaned up, i was sore and no one wanted to do anything. My family wanted to put off going out for dinner till next weekend. Problem is that it will be Easter weekend. I spent the day feeling down and grumpy. What made matters worse was my house kept getting destroyed which leads to a whole other issue Karl's kids......

They are not the cleanest bunch of kids and be honest they are down right lazy. It has been a struggle trying to get them to clean up after themselves. Awhile back we had created a chore list along with daily responsibilities. The first few weeks the kids followed it but they are right back to having to be reminded. We had started off by 2 simple chores a day and the rest was more of an upkeep of hygiene and personal belongings. They are on constant reminder to shower daily along with changing their clothes daily.....especially underwear. This has left me on a bit of a strike. As it stands i refuse to wash their clothing. Underwear being the biggest issue. I cannot even begin to go into detail. Just thinking of the smell and dirtiness of them is sending me into gagging mode. Karl has picked up this task for me. Honestly I feel that we need to be way more strict on his girls and start holding them accountable for their hygiene and the messes they make. It does however go further. The constant spilling and dropping of food and drink. Dirty clothing laying on the floor or being placed back into dressers. The lack of respect for others property. I could go on but i think that's enough for today.

Monday was much easier and better. The old house was finished and cleaned. What a huge weight off my shoulders. I got a surprise later that day when Karl had roses sent to the house. It was completely unexpected. When he got home he took me out to dinner. Things have been quite and back to normal. Today I sat down with Kayleigh and Kier and we did a herb pot. The rest of the week I will be getting ready for Easter. I still need to get the baskets together and go buy a few more items. Reminds me I still have things to drop off to Anita. Since she is planting a veggie garden I might see if she wants some of my left over herb seeds. Overall my week is shaping up well.

I am glad things are getting better for you. Leftover seeds would be great. When can you come see me? Maybe while your kids are on break.
